I am going with the Collin's adapter as well. I have all of the parts I need minus the adapter. I just need to drop the coin and go ahead and get it, but I keep telling myself "Get more done on the car and then spend the $700".

I have not see Happel's build, but I will look it up right now. Thanks!

haha very similar story here. I'd be done with my e34 swap if I could just leave these damn turbos alone!

In regards to Bimmer Forums you need to go take a look. Many LS swaps. Don't troll until you have a clue.

Since those guys have been swapping since about 2002 or so, it's actually become pretty mainstream, and accepted, in that community. Bimmerforums has a thriving swap subforum. And if you are swapping a 3-series of any sort, there are a LOT of helpful guys there that have pioneered some of the best integrated swaps when you could barely get anything from the aftermarket. The overbuilt, underpowered BMWs were a natural for the LS.

Thank you for the above info! I agree, it's a platform screaming for lots of power, and the LS does than in spades, in a relatively light, power-dense package!

I may have misspoke when I said troll. I didn’t mean that in a negative connotation, just that I would look through build threads on the BMW forums. There is a lot of good info there.

Alright guys a quick up date. I took Michael Yount's advice and low mounted my alternator. I used the ICT billet low mount, and then modified a power steering bracket I got off ebay to make everything line up. I am happy with how it turned out. Measured for the belt today, and should have the new one here on Friday.

I also got the brakes on, the coilovers installed, and the windshield pulled. It is good to have the car back down on four wheels. I have the front fenders loosely placed right now.

Next on the list is to pick up some rear M3 brakes and trailing arms, get a hood, and some new doors. The ones on the car right now are beat to hell. Once I get the last of the body pieces it is time to start on the paint and last of the body work.

Hope you guys enjoy.

I see you have a water pump with the output on the right side - the 2010+ pump puts the output on the left, use camaro pump for truck offset pulleys, corvette pump for car offset.

Yes, that's what most people use, but now you have that long unnecessary crossover tube that gets in the way of intake tubing plumbing. Also looks very awkward and out of place. This looks a bit more OEM.

BOTH pics have crossover tubes. The one in 8.Lug's pic is shorter by about 7 inches, and does look more OEM, BUT the one in TNspeed1's shot looks better detailed. Both will work forever. And the intake tube can go over the top of the coolant hose.

You really need a better hobby than following me around and replying to everything I say.

Oh but I'm having so much fun... someone has to correct your ****...
Here's the major difference- when I answer a post, it's to hopefully help someone. Your posts, with a few exceptions, are to dispense ample doses of sarcasm and attitude.

Close, Talon wanted to impress us with his brain(?), whereas Lugnut just wants to be a jerk. Same diff though, bottom line.
