Default Vintage air question

I have a 5.3 gen iii and I am trying to install it. I want to use the pcm to run the a/c system but it is a stand alone system from vintage air. My gen iii harness says I have a lime green wire that is for the a/c clutch and a red that is a/c request. Where do I hook them up to? I have found that I have a Sanden sd7 compressor and it will have to be tuned to fixed in hptuner. Just really don't want to mess up my new system. Any help would be great. Thanks

It depends on what year your PCM is as to how easy this is to pull off. But in reality you most likely wont notice a difference by running it as a stand alone system.

I Installed my vintage system over the summer as a stand alone and it works perfectly. In fact on my first test drive it was almost wanting to die while sitting at a light. After a couple stops the pcm recognized the new load and it retuned itself and made the adjustment it needed.

Good, guess I was worried about nothing. Really appreciate the help. I will leave it as a stand alone then. Makes my life a lot easier.

I looked into this as well, and in order for my ECU to control and recognize the A/C you have to trick the ECU into thinking that the High pressure side is where it needs to be with a resistor. Because the Vintage Air is a stand alone unit, it will regulate itself so no worries on it overpressurizing. Then you tie from the VA unit to the ECU for the request signal, and then route the A/C clutch to have the ECU turn it on and off. Doing it that way would allow for the ECU to cut the A/C clutch at WOT. It's basically what the import guys do when swapping into a 240sx, but the VA unit controls and regulates the system.

From what I could find in the folders of stuff I've kept, it needs to be an 80k 1/4 watt resistor and will give the ECU a 1200kpa (~2volt) that will make the ECU happy.
