Default 2004 5.3 AC and Idle
I'm about to rework my wiring harness and was wondering how idle bumps up when AC comes on.
I have a Vintage Air like system in my 69 El Camino.
Need to know what I can toss and what to keep and if I need to add to the pin outs.

It's DBW and PCM is 12586242.

Can anyone add anything here?
Does the PCM automatically correct the idle?
Can I use HP Tuners programmer (that I have coming this week) to change the idle slightly higher if I get stumbling/stalling when turning on the AC?

If you go to LT1Swap.com, you will see the wires coming in and out of the PCM that need to be implemented - mostly related to the AC compressor - for the PCM to know it has to bump up the idle RPM to handle the extra load of the AC compressor.

Thanks. That's why I'm here, because I checked it all out on his site and he calls for pulling all AC wires out, not needed.
That's why I'm thinking the PCM must compensate when the RPM's drop.

It will. A lot of people sweat this, but the DBW will take care of any extra load put on the engine.

PCM knows what idle should be. It compensates up or down for whatever is happening.

sanden compressors dont kill your idle like the old junk pancake compressors do
Ive had several ls swaped vehicles , some with cams , they all ran fine without the ecu knowing whether the compressor was on or off

I've run 2 DBW swaps with aftermarket AC (02 and 05). No issues at all without the ecu integrated.
