LS 2 Swap into 68 Camaro. Should be all stock set up. Will be connecting the line with blue tape shown to intake.
I am pretty certain this should just be capped, but want to be certain. And if so, anyone got a part number that will work or exactly what to call it so I can find it. Thank you in advance for your help.
Cap? Part Number for Something?
The top image tube will be connected as you described I believe. The bottom image is where my question is. The one that I am pointing at which is currently connected. I don’t believe that it is needed and planned to remove and cap but could not get any info on this side, driver side, of the setup unless I overlooked it or just didn’t know correct name of what it is. Lots of info on passenger side, routing catch cans, etc... Hopefully I made it more clear.
Top pic - if that hose is connected to passenger side valve cover (e.g. - crankcase) then I believe it’s the PCV make-up air line. If so, it should not be connected to the intake (vacuum) but to the air intake pipe downstream of the maf/upstream of throttle body.
Yes, that is where I was planning on connecting it, probably should have made myself a bit more clear. I will search EVAP delete and see if I can figure out a cap for that. I recall reading that certain caps are bad about drying out, cracking, and eventually leaking... maybe rubber or plastic, not sure. Anybody have a good part number on that cap, I’ll post it if I find it first. Thanks
I just picked a vacuum cap up at the local parts place when I pulled the purge valve line of the intake of my LS3. Whoever is doing your tune - be sure they delete that purge valve function in the ECU.
