3 wire alternator

How do i convert a 3 wire alternator to 1 wire alternator on a LS swap. Wires are gray, brown and blue. I tried to post earlier, so if it double post I'll delete.

What series alternator are you working with? What vehicle did it come out of?

Its a delphi automotive. 02 yukon

There are a dozens of posts about alternators. Have you searched?

Yes, ive searched. Ive seen something about adding a ohm resistor? To a 12v source? Maybe. I can't remember exactly the right parts was described. I'll have to go back in the search history. I've found the 4 pin diagrams, but not the 3 pins that I have. I didnt know which wire on mine would be the only one i needed to make it work. Ive tried posting pictures but it has to be approved by the mods. I just need to know which wire to use is all. You cant search the word 3 because its too short and common. So my search for 3 pin diagram on here was a dead end. Thanks

I'm pretty sure you have 4 pins on your alternator.

Possibly. I have 3 wires coming off the plug. So i thought it was 3 pin. My bad. Do you know which wire it may be to make it work?

I believe Holley 197-400 harness will do the trick has a resistor built in.

They Holley pigtail only has the L wired, but you can easily add the S terminal. The plug is a Metripack 150 serious and the terminals are readily available on Mouser or Waytek.
