Ah, gotcha. The link I posted is for a projector "housing". Then you can use a standard Halogen H11 or LED direct replacement in that housing. So technically you'd have a "projector" just not one with the 2 LED Diode board style light sources. Would be cool to have them in a housing of some sort is all I was thinking. One less thing to make. I see they have 2.5" as you posted, and 3" as well. Any take on the larger one? or is 2.5 likely plenty? they also have 80w and 110w? Guessing a 3" with more wattage would be brighter? Or overkill perhaps? I've never played with these before. Appreciate the input!
go 3 inch and use gp thunder led you can them on ebay for $15. I have them on both volvos, bonneville, 2 impala and my camry. I'd suggest hiding the housing in a gutted stainless thermos sports bottle. soda blast them for a brushed look. let me find the led link. they last for years.

Defiantly could! They would stop the small animals anyway. There's a dirt road leading to our track though. I've never been comfortable running my stuff without an actual filter. And I wanted a velocity stack on the inlets anyway so I thought I'd give those a go. They were around $20 each so no huge loss. If they were a 6" instead of an 8" at the inlets, I think I'd like them alot more. Really just looking to be little different I guess. Honestly the turbos are pretty high up and my JY motor and $270 turbos aren't gonna last many miles I'm sure. So I sould prob. quit being stubborn and just run the typical guard or nothing at all. Maybe cone filters... I still need a way to setup the pre-turbo meth inj. too.
I think the filters look good. They are proportional to OE lights of the era. That grill shell needs a facelift though. We run projectors like aknovaman suggested on the Cavalier behind the grill. Amazing how well they work. T is coming along great!
That area is legal since it's within the cage/ frame rails. Car was cert'd to 8.5 last year. But it's only a 4 gallon tank. Still up in the air on what to do for a decent 10 gals or so. I'd love to put it all up front, but that's a lot of tank to hang off the nose, and I'd have to build cage structure up around it as well to pass Tech. Feel like that would look odd. Really isn't much space on this thing. May end up having a tank made that fits the contour of the rear and extending the bumper a ways. It won't look great, but I don't have a lot of options. This is my 12g Cell out of the mazda for reference. Its up against the coil spring here. 17.5x16x10
Not really... 4 link/ARB and frame are all back there. Decided to get back to my JY dog roots and I'm working on a harbor freight solution. Ordered a 7gallon aluminum air tank that I'm cutting down and mounting between the frame rails in the back. I'll join the upper 4 gallon tank to it. Should end up with around 10 gallons total with the 2 tanks and it cost me about $70 total. I'll post up pics when I have a moment. It's not as bad as it sounds! Will look something like this.... But with an alum tank that tucks up and back more.

Well the harbor freight tanks are pretty good stuff it turns out. About .10" thick and welded great! (friend did the welding, I didn't trust my alum work where fuel is concerned). Had to take 3" out. Roughly 1.02 gallons lost out of 7. So not to bad. Top tank is 4.5g. So 10.5 gallons or so total. Still didn't look right in the back so I'm putting it up above the 4 link between the frame. Should be completely out of site then. 2 -10AN feeds 1-10AN supply. And I'll use the 1/2" supplied threaded hole for a vent to the top.
Shifter and linkage installed. I modified the shifter that was already in the car. I didn't have the heart to junk it. It was too odd ball and custom not to reuse! They made the shifter **** from freeze plugs and washers! lol I'll get pics later.
Took measurements for a driveshaft. Funny, its literally almost exactly 3 feet long from the trans shaft to the flat on the rear end yoke.
LED projector housing "headlights" came in. They are pretty unnoticeable and they had a very defined cutoff point so I won't be blinding anyone. I think they are going to work well.
Summit had some new finned valve covers I though would look the part for $150. Seem to be made well.
Really struggling to get weight up front. was about 200lbs tail heavy on my original weigh in. I haven't welded the battery mount yet, but I think this is where I'm sticking it. Its inches away from the starter and very close to the alternator as well. WIring should be easy and once its all painted black I don't think it will be terribly noticeable.
Bought this giant 32 row 14x9x2 transmission cooler. Not sure where I'm gonna put it, but i'll make it fit somewhere!
Seemed the small 8-10" fans (even the expensive ones) topped out at 800cfm. Most around 400-600. While the 11" spal was rated at 1300 CFM and only $25 more. So went a little oversized and made little ABS block off plates. Hopefully this pulls some heat!
Sorted the radiator hoses. I thought having 4 hose clamps in the middle of the piping would look pretty bad. So I tried some of the Gates Shrink clamps. They seem pretty sturdy! Supposedly they hold up great. I hope so at $8 each.
Fuel filter and base came in. The dual inlet/outlets should make the dual AEM400 Fuel pump plumbing a little easier.
I believe that fan, is the same fan I have. You can definitely hear mine, and if I lean under the truck, you can feel it blowing off the bottom of the bed. The only downfall I've found, is driving down a dirt or gravel road, it makes a big dust cloud.
Did you roll a bead on the pipe that is between your heater hoses? I have a buddy who runs those on his Chevelle, and so far he has had no issues.
Yes, they work with E85. They are 5 micron nominal which is better than most. They flow a ton. This is the first WIX 4 port setup I've used. I generally use the single in/out filters. I've seen 1400crank or so through one on E85 with no issues in pressure drop. I've used the spin-on paper filters for MANY years and split/inspect them. Never had a problem with E85.
