Use to be a guy who would come in to a place i used to work at that had a similar set up in an older suburban. He had a ham radio in it and an antenna about 20ft long on it. Said he could get reception from thousands of miles away

Last CB I had or actually still have would light a case of 96" fluorescent tubes in the box from about twenty feet. You didn't dare touch the stainless antenna. I had to wrap my ECM in foil or it would make my transmission go nuts.
