2013 LSA engine and trans swap info
So, to my question. Would you say it would be better to run both pumps in tandem into a fuel regulator that then feeds the rails? Also i have read that i would be better to change rails so the unused fuel could return to the tank. What rails would you reccommend? With both pumps being able to supply 800hp each i guess at this stage i could just run 1 of them instead of both? Also, i have heard conflicting opinions on needing a fuel management system which is super expensive. I'll do it if i have to, but also seen a dudes LS2 he just bolted a LSA supercharger on top of and installed a larger fuel pump and runs like stink.
I have only been working on my project for about 90 days so far. Still in the mock up stage so now's the time to run the fuel lines.
Thanks,
Wayne
I run a genuine (External mount) Bosch 044 fuel pump into a Bosch high pressure fuel filter (Bosch filter part 0450905003)
This then runs through a DWR1000 fuel pressure regulator & fuel pressure gauge which then feeds directly into the stock fuel rails (Set to 58 psi at idle)
Boost line from blower port to DWR1000 will automatically increase fuel pressure by max 10 psi when engine is boosting. ( 1 lb. boost equals an extra 1 lb of fuel pressure at the fuel pressure reg).
This system works a a treat but you will need a return line from the DRW1000 return port, back to the fuel tank in the rear.
Cheers
Craig
Stock rails seem good enough per most locals guys here running e85 and making over 800.
Off your topic, but what driveshaft are you going to get made for the non slip tranny yoke if that 6l80/90 was from a car?
