Front facing headers are a pain in an a-body driver side FYI. Atleast down and forward wouldn't fit. Up and forward mightve fit with some massaging from a hammer on a few collectors.

AAW Classic update wiring harness are the ones to get IMO. I HATE electrical, yet after looking at their wiring pictures, I actually think I can do it. LOL

I have one in my Cutlass, super simple and plenty of circuits for power goodies

I was going to go with the forward and up versions. I will be using the Holley LS swap motor mounts that places the engine forward more.

Yes, after looking at their pictures I feel more comfortable than before. I called them about using the classic update and they recommended going with this unit. I have my build more mapped out than ever. Using the classic update might save some time but nothing in this car is original. Not even the dash that will be in there.

Here are the front seats BMW E92 seats. The rear seats are from a late model GTO. I ordered some brackets that supposedly fit. I'm not too confident with them at this time.

Got the engine back and it's a beauty. I been in the process of moving and finding a home in this crazy market. Sorry for the delayed updates.

Nice, I have been thinking about E92 or E93 seats for my Cutlass. Did you start with buckets or a bench seat?

It was a hack-job bucket seat set up from when I purchased the vehicle.

I was finally able to see how the engine fits.

Did you end up using those Planted seat mounts with the E92 seats?

Currently the seat are just placed in there. I dry fitted them to the brackets but I think I have to modify them. The brackets seem to be too short. Granted I have yet to power the seats up to adjust them. So that might be a factor.

Yeah, that sounds right. From measurements I've seen online the E46 seat brackets aren't as long as the E92 seat brackets so they bolt right up to the Planted seat mounts. Haven't found anyone who used both in an A-Body so never knew for sure but seemed like the E92 seat brackets were a bit long. Nothing a little fabbing can't solve though

I am still working on this project. I am super excited about continuing it once my current deployment is over.

Thank you for your support! It's wild that I picked a project that gives me nothing but headaches. Haha... But it is therapeutic to say the least.

A shop in Alabama did it.

Does anyone have any experience with this kit https://www.cxracing.com/header-mani...VELLE6872-ONLY .... Part of me wants to buy a Tig welder and do it myself but time is a factor. Also, if you have an alternative suggestion let me know.

Hello all! It feels great to finally be back from deployment. I'm about to clear out the garage to make space and start working on the brakes and powertrain. I wanted to start on the bodywork but figured time will be best served getting all the mechanical items working first. I was going to do work on the firewall but I'm going to address it later.
