Default LQ9 Accessory Drives

I'm in the process of lining out parts for my LS swap in my 67 Camaro. I've got a few question on the Accessory drives.

It sounds like every one is swapping to complete corvette or Camaro style drive systems. I'm leaning towards the corvette style due to the higher mount alternator. Where is everyone sourcing parts for these swaps? Complete aftermarket kits? junkyard for the brackets, Etc? Combination of both? and do these systems bolt right up, or is there modifications needed.

I've not done anything to the motor yet but planning on aftermarket heads and intake. Not sure if that affects anything on the accessory drives?

Accessory drives are interchangeable across most all LS engines.

If you aren't looking to notch the frame at all, the C5 and C6 accessory drives are a good solution. I personally went with the Fbody LS1 accessories and notched my frame on both sides to allow for a low mounted AC and alternator. I've since swapped to a CTS-V accessory drive that runs the main accessories at the Corvette spacing. I had to find an aftermarket version of the CS130 alternator that allowed me to keep the low mount since it was so tight. Hope that helps.

Yeah the main reason I'm leaning towards the corvette setup Is to avoid notching my frame. The LS1 accessory setup definitely looks cleaner though! Ryan, did you buy a complete accessory kit from somewhere?

I got my Vette FEAD from Pace Performance. I wanted new appearance. Holley’s vette style is also a option. It uses the easier to find/cheaper alt. They look very similar

Shoot me a PM. I just pulled the engine out of my LS swapped GTO and I have a complete Corvette system that I will not be using.

I'm doing a LS3 swap into a 68 camaro, so I think your setup should work.
