Quick question i have a 5.3 motor block and I want to add a 4l80e transmission what kind of fusebox pcm and harness do I get for the 5.3 in order for everything to work properly? Or there an easier route in buying a different efi system and computer ?

You can pull a junk yard PCM and harness and then re-pin that harness for use in the swap. Or buy a commercially built engine harness which is what I did and then lashed that up to an American Auto Wire "Classic Update" full body electrical harness with an expanded fuse box. Or buy one of the EFI systems from Holley.

You can use your 5.3 pcm. It will need a segment swap for a 4l80. The harness needs minor repinning at the trans. I did a Google search on 4l60 wiring to 4l80. Lots of good hits to look at. The ISS on the 4l80 doesn't need to be monitored by the PCM but can be added to the harness.

I would highly recommend looking at the Holley Terminator Max X efi system. Once you factor in the cost of a harness, it's really not too bad. You also get the extra features of the Holley system.
