Default Anyone know the former owner of this 6.0 Swapped Geo Tracker?

I posted in the Southern forum as well because the car came out of MS to me but not from the builder/original owner.

It's a 94 Tracker with a 6.0 and F-body accessories, supposed to have a built 4L60, has a 8.8 rear end and appears to be done well and drives well.

Just looking to possibly get more info, this has been a dream car of mine since watching the white turbo one years ago, so glad I found it, just would love to have more info!

It lives in Illinois now btw.

That one looks similar but I think I saw that one in some other videos and it's a different vehicle that turned into a turbo build.

What happened to them? Well let's see... they put a 6.0L in a Geo Tracker. Clearly suicidal.

Literally gave my friend whiplash he claims, the way it dead hooks is nutty on stock suspension at this wheel base on MT drag radials lol.

It's nuts for sure but needs a retune, feels hog rich, but 1-2nd is insane and the way it just rips off the line and goes is nutty.

Top end feels lacking and I think that could be due to the tune and/or small filter choking it combined with stock manifolds but not sure I can get headers on it without cutting away a bunch and I'd prefer not to do that.

Open filter to throttle body right in front of a fan//radiator is a classic setup problem. Not only do you have huge temperature variation, but the air is turbulent due to the fan.

You need to build an air intake tube that gets the filter out of the way of the fan and radiator airflow path. And yes, a larger surface area filter would be helpful.

if 1-2 is insane, the 4L60e probably has a corvette or aftermarket servo, and has not been tuned for it. if 1-2 is snappy but not insane, its probably been dealt with.
an insane 1-2 shift is fun, unless it breaks the rear end loose. ask me how i know, LOL

Gonna play with my Dragy once it gets nice out again and see what it does. On street tires it would bark 2nd every shift, on drag radials it does not. Supposedly the 4L60 is "built" but I'm not privy to what was done to it, it shifts good, better than my old F-body did for sure. And with 2300lbs of vehicle it with the 8.8 should be pretty stout I hope.

Was hoping the guy that built this thing was a member or someone may have known him.

Was hoping I can find a 270 Degree pipe(s) I can fit up to it and route the filter back up near the driver firewall and a larger filter, that's about the only place I can fathom it going.

Rotate the intake assembly 180.

Is there enough room between the intake and firewall to do that? Great idea if it works....

That's a super cool swap. I can't remember who the guy was that built several swaps. He was in several magazines, did the Colorado swap with some Hummer interior, and also built a Tracker similar to this, I believe it was Black?
Looks like the person who swapped it, did a nice job! Like to hear what the Draggy says.

I saw that one too over the years, and the turbo mid-mount turbo one, very cool builds. Can't wait to find the dragy and test it out.

They're the MT 236/60R15's, pretty much end up with a 26x9 and it matches the fronts well.
