‘67 C10 shorty part II
This is a follow up to part one, I will post that link. Many hours of work done on this cab just to get ready for paint, many patch panels and if you’ve ever done them they require tedious fitment, butt welding and the dreaded grinding of those welds. Inner and outer rocker panels were replaced, drivers foor, right drip rail, kick panels etc, tons of small dent repair, firewall holes deleted and new ones drilled for Vintage Air under dash plenum for A/C and heat. The color is Bright blue metallic from eBay, just a generic color, paint kit came with paint, reducer, euro clear and other minor stuff.
the hood hinges look chrome but are powder coated and the color is called super chrome…..duh.
the guy in the pic is the painter, Todd, I think he’s very talented.
The wheels in one pic are 17’s, I didn’t care for the way they looked so I opted for 20’s, 9.5’s in back and 8’s up front. Just had to have the extra wide tubs, going with red oak wood bed.
The 20’s are so much nicer looking for this build
Inner fender wells look gloss black but have some flip flop pearl mixed in for something different
Home from the paint shop, 9 months later….

Color is paint kit from eBay
Under side was seam sealed and coated twice with truck bed liner.
This is the orientation of where 7875 will be, I hope it doesn’t burn the paint on my hood, of course I’ll use a Cover on it.
T-4 flange will be big enough for what I’m doing
4L80 is probably the best choice for this project.
