So what else am I missing? Also, whats the purpose of getting the POWER RACK AND PINION? Is this needed?
Thanks

ADD:
*PCM
*Exhaust(Probably 1 3/4 Jet Hots with X Pipe....ANYONE wanna reccomend some QUIET mufflers?)
Thanks
You'll need a tach signal conditioner. The LS1 PCM generates a 4cyl wave, which will read super-low on your dash tach. DakotaDigital.com has them.
Depending on the year of your 3rd gen, the speedo may be mechanical or electronic. If mechanical, do some research.
You'll need radiator hoses. Stock '01 1-piece upper hose, and '02 Silverado 5.3L lower hose, both hooked directly to my 3rd gen radiator. You'll need a way to connect the LS1's steam vent hose from the heads to your radiator. I reused my 3rd gen radiator's extra fitting (formerly the heater core return nipple) compliments of Speartech info...and yes I spent $ with Speartech on their bench burning harness.
And finally, if by "Wiring Harness" you mean a modded or aftermarket piece, there's still some integration with your 3rd gen chassis harness. Helms manual for the specific year of your car will have excellent diagrams.

Even with a standalone harness you'll have a few hookups to your car's chassis harness. Fuel pump relay output to pump, 12VDC to the interior, coolant temp gauge, tach, speedo, oil pressure gauge.

I'm doin a similar thing right now, I got sick of running 17's in the quater mile wit my 305 TBI. So Im doing a whole LS1 drivetrain. As for a parts list...Things keep coming up as you go along, its hard to predict everything your going to need, at least in my experience.
Thanks

All other LS1 based engines use serial data to operate the temp gauge, which is why they are so inaccurate.
The 98 LS1 is in the LSx engine family
, so wouldn't have to drill and tap anything.
