Default 99 Trans Am corvette motor

I bought a 99 convertible 6 speed car without a motor and have my eye on an 99 LS-1 Corvette motor.

My question is what will the stumbling blocks be to dropping in an older vette motor? Ive seen some posts that say its a direct fit and others that say its a pain in the rear.

Trans-Am and Corvette both have an LS1. The only thing that I can think of is having to change pan, windage tray and pickup tube.

Isn't the Corvette drive by wire? You will need a cable throttle body, throttle cable bracket and inserts for the intake manifold. I've also used a threadsetter with epoxy.

Why would that be an issue when he already has what he needs from his intake?

I apologize, I missed the part where it said there was an existing intake.

I will have to buy a full pull out because the car has nothing at this moment.

Bolt up the Clutch you want and let it rip...
