Found headers to fit my 79 I'm new on the board and I had been hearing that its hard to find a set of off the shelf header , well I have a 1979 camaro that I'm putting a Ls1 in. The car has a M6 and solid motor mounts the Pace Setter headers fit with the exception of I had to trim the driver side collector about half an inch to clear the frame other that they went in perfect and looked killer!! coated around four hundred shiped to your door form texas speed.

Are the Pace Setter headers a long tube for ls1? I have Hooker long tubes from my '01 SS they look like they'll fit but the collectors will have to be cut and turned 180 * so the 02's won't hit the subframe. Also it looks like the dr side header may touch the lower control arm . I'll find out for sure in about 3 weeks when the LS6/ 700R4 goes in.
I put the pace setter LONG tube non-emission headers on my 69 Camaro.
The passenger fit perfet. The driver is a mess ( I am running a steeroid rack that is right in the way).
Going to have a local speed shop chop and fit it for me.

I Dont have any pics yet but they are long tubes they have about a quarter to a half inch of clearence from the floor board to the header and hung about a inch lower than the frame. the stearing colum cleared fine other than the trim on the collector every thing fit with out banging or scraching. hope they work for you, it might also depend on your motor mounts.
