Default Swapping LS1 into V6 Camaro

First off, hello. Yes, this is me:

I'm doing my homework before I get started buying everything for this summer's swap. I have a '99 V6 Camaro and I am planning on putting the LS1 in it.

Here's an engine I'm looking at from FParts salvage:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...category=33615

I might not buy that one, but I am going to buy a same year engine w/ auto.

That engine includes all belt-driven accessories, starter, exhaust manifolds (which will be replaced with headers anyway), all sensors, maf sensor/plumbing, and the claim is that it's "complete from fuel injection to oil pan!"

So, for other parts I'm looking at:

engine cradle/mounts
LS1 Radiator
Steering rack
Fuel lines
Fuel pump
Heater hoses
Radiator hoses
A/C hoses
150 MPH gauge cluster
Underhood Harness (WTF is this?)
Dash Harness (See: Underhood Harness)
Transmission Crossmember

Do I need to get a throttle cable? A new pedal assembly (I already have an auto tranny)? I already have a rear-end out of a '96 WS6, so I'm fine there. I also have a 1 piece steel driveshaft, so I won't need one of those either.

Am I missing any parts?

Thanks in advance, and sorry for the long post .

Underhood harness = chassis harness. It's all the wiring under the hood. From the battery to the fuse box on the drivers side, to the 3 connectors on the passenger fenderwell. It's not necessary to swap this out. Just make sure you provide 12V switched power to the INJ2 circuit.

Dash harness is not necessary, they should be the same. It's all the wiring under the dash.

Your v6 is electric throttle isn't it? You will need a cable setup.

V8 front springs. Bigger sway bars would be a plus. The v6 sway bars are smaller.

V8 lid.

you're the man John_D.

Yeah, I've got electronic throttle, what will I need for the cable setup?

I've got hotchkis lowering springs/bilstein HDs in there right now. Do I still need V8 springs?

And I'll get a hold of a V8 lid.

I might have to get a hold of you when it comes to that INJ2 circuit when the swap comes around. Thanks for the great info!

I think you just get a cable and the accelerator pedal off a salvage car.

Check how it goes through the firewall. Not sure if you need anything there too or not. Maybe just drill a hole and install a grommet (from the salvage car).

My '98 was already cable operated so I didn't have to deal with that part of it...

The hotchkis springs may be ok. It may sit lower after the swap though. See if you can get the spring rates, and compare them to the v8 stock spring rates.

Stock front spring rates:
22133438 (45 N/mm, 257 lbs/in) (98-00 V6)
22077197 (51 N/mm, 292 lbs/in) (93-00 V8)
22132887 (63 N/mm, 360 lb/in) (WS6, 1LE)

I got the ls1 pcm and engine harness with the swap engine.

(I just figured that was included with Rancid's swap engine, but that might have been a bad assumption since nowhere does it say pcm or wiring harness, it just says sensors...)

It's got the PCM and the wiring harness included with the engine. It's a different computer that is used in the V6, so it can't just be reprogrammed.
