in that case, you dont have to do a whole lot to get it working... just the basic power, and gauge wires... you can keep the stock harness and do it yourself without too much hassle..

I was told that I had to send in the ls1 engine harness. They said that they would make it work like a stand alone unit. They said I would still use the LT1 computer for gauges and would use the LS1 harness for the engine. They said that They would hjave to take security and something else out of the ls1 computer. This was going to cost 450 for the harness and 300 for what ever they had to do to the computer.FOR THE RECORD THIS INFO WAS NOT FROM SPEARTECH.(JOHN) It was from a compony out of San Antinio,TX.
What do you suggest?

if you feel comfortable with doing so, id just wire the stock LS1 harness in itself.
the LS1 only needs a few power wires to the stock harness to run...
the gauges can be worked out one way or the other...
if you have the time and are willing to research it some, you could get it in and wired for less then $40..... counting zip ties, solder, heatshrink, a solder gun, ect....
Guys thank you for your help.
I have contacted John at Speartech. He has been very helpful. Good thing I posted in here and were referred to him before I sent this harness over to this other company. His way is exactly what I was hoping to here.
