Exhaust question!

Alright i'm dropping in a ls1 into my 91 camaro, and i'm planning on getting some long tube headers for them(hooker cut to fit ls1 flanges) and i'm wondering if you guiys could help me out with some ideas on how to set up the rest of the exhaust. The problem is i'm running a spohn x-member and i know people have had problems running exhuast with it.
Any input would be greatly appreciated or somone who has done this.

i have a mufflex on my car with a sphon torque arm. the muffler man gently plasma cut all the excess off the spohn mount, heated the pipe up, placed a piece of exhaust pipe on the heated section and whacked it with a hammer. very nice curved dent, and fits around the x member just nice.

Thanks for the input, yea i'm just going to have a exhaust shop fab a y-pipe up for me, but did the cutting of the x-member give you pretty good clearance. Do you scrap a lot, and how do you think it would work with a 1 inch drop.

i dont scrape anywhere, the y pipe is tucked, and made different than any ive seen. it looks like he used 2 "over the axle" type pipes for dual exhaust and made them flat to fit under the car.
its not a traditonal y pipe by any means.
my car is lowered 1", but i run a 28" tire.

ill be pulling the motor this weekend. ill try and snap a pic before i take the exhaust off.
if you were closer to me, id give you the y pipe, gonna have to change it out when i swap motors.

That sux but thanks for the offer, but if you could get some pics that would be great.

so you just cut the metal off the mount to give you enough room. That should work, but yea if you could give me a pic sometime that would be awsome so i could give it to my exhaust guy to give him an idea of how to do it.

P.S. - what type headers are you using.
