no.. just bolt it in there, then when you find a actual problem, do a search and find the answer.

btw, could you do us all a small favor?
when you type, grammer and such doesnt have to be perfect, but PLEASE use english.....

its not much more effort to type "oh yeah, what are your running......" this isnt a moble phone where you're limited on the number of letters... it makes it a thousand times easier to read, and it keeps you from looking like some retarded teenage kid.

MrDude is starting to type what I'm thinking...hard to believe we don't get along better!

Typing coherently shows you're capable of comprehending the responses you might get, and are therefore a good investment of time responding.

I still think stealing Speartech's avatar pic is

I'm currently fighting a P0200 code that only sets after ~15min of thrashing, my advice is invest in the Helms manual for your donor car so you'll have the GM diagnostic procedures for every single P error code.

I needed a conversion crossmember for my T56, not sure that's the case if you run an auto transmission.

the transmission CROSSmember (Kmember is the big thing shaped like a K under the engine that holds the engine and front suspension) can NOT be modified to fit the T56 without alot of cutting and welding.

the mounting point for the T56 is about 3" back from the back of the stock crossmember.

you need to either:

fabricate a new crossmember.
buy a aftermarket crossmember.

what are you doing for motor mounts anyway? you can buy a complete motor mount and crossmember kit pretty cheap... then the LS1 and trans just bolt in.

you need a T56 trans crossmember... you dont need to buy it right this second, as theres plenty for you to do while you save up some more....

while you're saving, save up for a intank pump.. and a regulator.(or filter/regulator)

you still have the wiring to do.. that takes some time the first time you do it.

If you are talking about just attaching the wiring harness then I would say do it before you swap in the motor and trans. A lot easier to get at all the connections when its not in the car...namely the main trans connection which can be a pain the the neck. If you are talking about rewiring the whole thing yourself then I am not sure...you might be better off doing all that after the motor is in just so you know where everything is going to be and such...but if you have a speartech modified harness or something similar(im not sure I havent read what you are doing with that) then attach the wiring harness then do the little wiring there is in with the engine and trans in the car.

if you're keeping the stock fbody harness, leave it on the engine and put the engine in with it..

wire everything up once the engine is in.

possible? yes.

but its also a stupid thing to fabricate to do.

take the stock LS1 Fbody power steering lines, and connect them to your steering box.. done. they match right up... if its a little close to the belt after its installed, tweek the hardline a little.
