fuelpump:
you COULD.... but you would be sucking thru your tiny stock TBI pump... and that kinda sucks. good chance that you cant pull enough fuel thru it.
a walbro is a direct replacement, i mean DIRECT REPLACEMENT, and it works great..... your other option is any replacement TPI pump... athough i would not reccomend a cheapie.
ive done the job countless times now on alot of cars... its never a enjoyable job, but it doesnt have to be too hard. if the exhaust isnt on the car, its downright easy.
speedo:
with a stock harness, you can wire it to the gauge... with the painless, look at the directions..
tach:
get a tach converter box off of ebay, search for "LS1 tach adapter"
it uses 4 wires:
tach in from ls1
tach out to gauge
power
ground.
throttle cable:
use a non TCS LS1 cable... the GM part number is :12565559
you may have to use a small spacer on the cable near the pedal to achieve WOT.. check this.

>i had to replace the gass tank for the second time on the car and i pulled the stock tbi pump and replaced the legnth of the pump with a pice of gas line . will it work ? the tanks are a pain!!!

you could use a aftermarket inline pump.. its not as efficent, not as quiet, and wont last as long.. and you'll have to find a place near the back of the motor to put it, but i'll work... not the ideal (or cheapest) solution, but it saves you the "work" of dropping the tank.
however, my blunt opinion of doing that on a 91 camaro is: "thats a hackjob way of doing it. if you're going to be lazy, then why bother?"
here are the ones on ebay i was thinking of...
http://stores.ebay.com/Baker-Electro...eNameZl2QQtZkm
the 305 is a v8.... a standard "normal" tach signal would be 4 pulses per revolution... every time the distributor fires, it gives a pulse... the tach reads that and moves the needle.
the LS1 has no distributor.... so it doesnt make a "normal" tach signal.. but the PCM outputs a 2 pulse per revolution signal... like a 4cyl....
this box takes that "4cyl" 2 pulses and makes a "8cyl" 4 pulse signal... so your stock V8 tach can read it.
then it has a intank pump. you're probly looking at teh fuel filter then... common mistake, they do look kinda like inline fuel pumps.
it does have a ground wire/strap... no positive connection.
if you do have a inline pump, its not stock..

yes you need the pressure regulated.... easiest and cheapest method is a corvette filter/regulator.... the regulator is built into the filter.... and because the filter is ment to be replaced, its cheap....
