Ordered the headers w/y-pipe and cats, also ordered his k-member so i'm done spending money for a little while. Bruce is a great guy and answered all my questions and was VERY helpfull. Just FYI the headers have o2 bungs and the ypipe has a set too behind the cats.

Justin

P.S. - mine makes 5 headers ordered so far.

I just got of the phone with them and I was the second person to place an order with them so my set will ship out in that order. I'd say the 10 sets are just for the initial run and they'll continue to make 'em.They're a straight up honest company so it's all good.

haha order hawks k-member and bmr just comes out with there k-member today, which doesnt look too bad, really different design. All well i still rather go with the Hawks unit just becuase he makes a power rack for it and i know his will clear everything with the ls1(alternator hitting steering).

Justin ...was the issue "(alternator hitting steering)" ever really worked out!!!!!!!!??????????????????????????????????????? ?????????

The thread on TGO about the k-member fitment from hawk was long was long ..but there was never any post with saying it works.....if i remember right the thing was pushed under the carpet and called a day by asking to use the special rack set up??????!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the BMR info.....for sure a new/different "design"...450$
its time to run a big comparo on all k-members

Another Sponsor from LS1 tech is ready to toss out there front and back
coil over kit....

I guess finally everybody picks up on the 3rd gen cars with offering suspension and other parts....

The ls1 swap header is being on alert by another company and i guess the price war can begin!

check the force section here ....bmr k-member puts engine lower...?????????????????????????????????????????? ?????

That thread was about my kmember....The problem was the stock steering was hitting on both sides of the motor (both the alternator and AC). I was able to solve the problem by buying his rack and pinion...luckily I had the r&p mounting tab already on the kmember. I dont know if the kmember without the rack and pinion would work with the steering or not, you would have to call bruce and ask him. It is interseting that BMR came out with a kmember.

No the mount wansnt in the way it was just you couldnt turn the wheel left or right very much because the idler(?) arms were hitting the AC and Alternator. The mount cleared everything...it was kind of a stroke of luck that I had the mount on the kmember, because when I ordered the kmember it asked if you wanted the rack and pinion mount, and I didnt know what it was at the time so I was like sure why not, thank god i did.

Alright thanks cause when i ordered it yesterday I asked if it would clear the steering and bruce told me he had no idea so i ordered it without, but i wanted to put on rack and pinion later. So looks like i'll call him back and ask him to put it on.

thanks
justin

Yea its a good idea to have it on just in case. The mount is below any of the stock steering...but if the kmember was anything like mine, stock steering wont work. Unless they changed the design of the kmember (which i think he was going to do), which is what he might have meant by fixing the problem.
