Default LS1 in a thirdgen with a twist

Not using motor mounts. Going with a plate. We got the block (its 5.3l block) and the glide dropped in the other night. This weekend, Im going to start getting it moved around to setup for the plates.

Once I get the plates installed, itll be time to start fabing some headers for this bastard. Mid frame T88 Should be fun

DANG IT! That is what i wish i could build....but i dont have the funds so i am stuck with a nitrous'd LS6. Great project, and like said above i am sure it will turn out awesome. What is the estimated time of completion?

Why are you using a 5.3block??

Time of completion? LMAO When I get the money. haha My last project of this magnitude backed up my VISA card. I ended up dumping it, paying off bills and buying a nice daily driver since I had money again. LOL Not about to get wrapped up in that again so itll be a while.

I need a sponsor. LOL

I think I need a power adder or two. I hate to say it, but I'm starting to get a little bored with my car. Hey Guido, make me a set of headers for some TT's, then I'll sponsor you for a little bit lol.

Got a few updates. I took these pics with my camera phone as it was all that was available. The dig's battery died. LOL

Anyway, welded up a piece of 1 5/8 chromoly tubing on the trans cross member. Going to use that to weld a bracket to. The glide will mount to that.

The engine/trans is are setting on a pair of screw jacks right now but its got the combo right where I wanted it. So I cut up some cardboard to simulate what I want the motor plates to look like. Ill be transferring them to the 1/4" aluminum I have this week and cutting probably this weekend. So I should have the cardboard replaced then and some better pictures to show.

Im putting a 90 degree bend on it, and pointing it towards the ground. Thats all that there is going to be. No way a 5" pipe is going to fit under the car. LMAO
