voltage range on ls1 oil pressure sensor
~Bob
I have a stock Mazda oil pressure sender in the little adapter by the oil filter. Works like a charm.

i have a few friends doing RX7 swaps now, and they tell me that all the resistances and operations are reverse of each other between the ls1 and the rx7 sensors.
the autometer adapters saved me.

if you dont mind, post up the resistance curve for the temp sensor.....
im basicly doing the same thing..
I would just do away with the stock LSx OEM sender, use an adapter and plug in the RX7 (or your truck) or what ever car sender your swapping into .. I broke off the top of the LS1 sender, drilled and tapped the remaining lower part to 1/8" NPT thread and screwed in my Stock Chevelle idiot light sender.. I also have Autometer gauges with the sender in the plate above the oil filter.
You should reseach on the Oil Sender and the PCM... and options for mounting the sender.
Also, if the 99+ only used the oil sender as an idiot guage, your oil pressure guage wouldn't work period. It would act like the water temp guage that is like an idiot light. I was under the impression that the oil sender went to the BCM and straight to the guage not the ECM and that's why you can't pick it up on a scanner.
Either way, I need a voltage/pressure reference to set up the perameters in HP tuners.
Maybe you can setup the sender with an adjustable regulator off of your Air Compressor and measure the output of the sensor as you increase the air regulator pressure ?

I waiting to see what you come up with. should be interesting !
I still need to give the sensor a reference voltage or voltage in. I don't have that portion of the harness as it is normally part of the body control module, which I don't have in my 63 pick up. I only have the Engine Control module. So I need to know what the sensor needs as a V-in. The rest I can figure out by loging the V-out with HP tuners.
