TA creations has lots of stuff, but is usually 2-3x the price of everywhere else, don't know about their price on motors though.
BUY A COMPLETE SALVAGE CAR for $4-5k. then part the rest. This way you will have everything you need, and recoup your costs. It comes out MUCH cheaper this way

I bought mine off a reputable seller on ebay. He always has ls1's for sale, and he tests them to see if they are in working order. I think the salvage yard is called pick-a-part. Pretty good prices as well. But i would have to agree with 30th TA, on buying a complete salvage car. Theres a bunch of things you can use from the car that the engine was originally in, and kinda wish I would have done that.

In some way it all depends where you wanna go with the swap and how much ya got to spend!
With a daily use LS1 hybrid the best thing to do is to get a wreck/accident!
Part it out , take pics of parts you are not familiar with and sell the parts you dont need! That way you can save for little stuff you might need thru the swap and by cutting the car you learn alot!
What are the plans !?Automatic or manual trans? What car is the LS1 going into?
Better read and grab infos before you get blown by a ebay seller or other funny peeps!
Also look into the LS2 short blocks 402 from a sponsor of the board!
That might be the higher shopping bill but for a sure a early trip into a cool engine that is kinda new now!

ooopppss 4000 $ that the low side of town!
You wanna buy a wrecked car and sell the stuff you dont need to get some cash coming in for stuff like :
HP tuners
fittings
engine and trns mounts
fuel pump and regulator
etc....
as you said wait and look you might get a deal and the new ls2 is pushing the ls1 price down so good luck hunting!

Hey, what are we? Chopped liver. J/K Seriously we sell quite a few LS1 combo's on ebay and on this site. TA, Pick Pocket Parts, and Fparts are also not sponsors. Give us a try our prices are normally a little lower than the other guys. We also have lots of other parts, for swapping LS1's into older cars.
Thanks Scott

i bought my 2002 camaro LS1/t56 with 23000 miles on ebay from platinumauto.com in erie pa. it included all belt drivens, harness, pcm and clutch hydraulics and even that stupid accordian pleated bellows and a nest of mice in the transmission. i am not kidding, they got in the tiny hole above the slave fitting.
he has sold 500+engines and has 100%positive feedback. i am ready to start up the engine as soon as i get some glitches worked out with the pcm.
good luck with your search.
