Default 3.8 camaro to ls-1 questions...please help!!!

i am doing a 3.8 to ls-1 conversion and i am having trouble removing the 3.8 i am trying to take it out thru the top. the intake hits the cowl and the oil pan needs one more inch to clear the k-memeber . should i remove the intake and try taking it out thru the top? or just unbolt the k-memeber and lift the car? please help......thanks in advance!!!!

It's a lot easier through the bottom. Same for putting the ls1 back in too.

i looked through keith's site and was wondering what wiring you would have to do other then hooking the ls1 wiring harness up to mate it with a 00 v6?

If you get the same year LS1 harness, yep. Oh yeah and the LS1 gauge cluster too.
The wiring harness interfaces with the rest of the car via 2 connectors under the dash, and the 3 connectors on the passenger fenderwell.

The inj2 line is "empty" on the v6 chassis even though there's a label for it in the fuseblock (but no wire...) I just made a jumper, on the pcm side of the 3 fenderwell connectors. From the hot wire for the rear o2 sensors, to the inj2 feed.

I was pleasantly surprised when I did my swap. I expected to run into more.
