third gen LS1 question

third gen camaro w/LS1 header question does anyone know how well or even if LS1 LT's will fit in my third gen camaro. if so how much ground and engine bay clearance.

ive seen a few MAKE them fit. cutting and welding is a must. no direct bolt in.
hawks/stainless works headers are about the only option if you have a factory k member. a tubular k member will open up a few options, from what ive read. still have to modify.

Just pay the $750 and get the stainless LT's from www.hawksthirdgenparts.com I'm # 3 on the list in the country... should have them early next week. I'll post pics and a review.
i seen a set in person installed on a car and they look awesome.
their y pipe looked a lil crunched in the name of ground clearnance.
the headers themselves are awesome.

thats because, if you want clearance, you need a trans crossmember that looks something like this:

OMG where can I get the diagrams to make that cross member??? that is amaizing!!!!!!!!!!!!! I WILL BUY EVEN IF ANY ONE WILL FAB ya im canadian EH but i need that sooo bad. 2.5" Y-pipe + speed bumps = raised floors hahaha

theres a guy on Thirdgen.org thats makes them.. hes only doing it on the side, and he seems to sell them as fast as he can make them, but if you want to PM him there, his username is 'drews' (dont forget the 's' on the end.. lol)
