A harness that gives you horsepower??

For $1200 it better give you a BJ as well.. that can't really be what they are saying..

I don't see how a harness can make horsepower. The only way would be if they included the computer and programming with it. Even then, I don't see 410hp from a stock LS1.
I think for under $1k you can get a harness and program from Someone like Speartech.

this is what i was reading (page 77 super chevy may 05 ) harness and compact delphi mefi computer. dyno tuning the harness on a stock ls1 made 410 hp and 390 lb-ft at the crank mike

oh i got the ls1 with 1400 mi for $2500, and if this harness and computer with just 5 wires to hook up will give me an ls1 with 410 hp for $3700 i don`t think thats to bad. with no cats and long tube headers and a k&n air set up might be close to 430hp

Next, put some NOS and GReddy stickers on the car and you'll be at 450hp easy...

A harness with 5 wires WILL NOT GIVE YOU ANY MORE POWER!!!!!!!!!!!!

A tuned ECM might.. but I doubt even the most super spiffy all out mondo tune could make a stock 2000 LS1 put out 410fwhp.. that is a gain of well over 60fwhp..

And if it does it is NOT because of the wire loom..

steve nobody said it was the wires. no fool in the world would think wires will make hp. its the dyno delphi mefi computer and the 5 wires just makes it easy to transplant without all the emmission crap hey steve they are out of oceanside CA is that near you? call them. maybe they will tell you something else, but thats what they told me and what they advertise plus write up in super chevy. just trying to get info on the product before i spend that kind of money. mike

I want to make sure it was clear.. in your first post you never mention the ECM or programing.. just the wiring.. don't want some noob to think you can get hp from wire..

here is the ecm

You could buy a speartech harness for cheaper and retain the factory PCM
Which you could tune yourself down the road after you mod it.
