So there no longer is an LS1 going into this WRX?? Congrats on the turbo GTO.

I liked the project initially but talk about out of control. Just think of all the cars you could have bought with that $$$$. Oh BTW why don't you pay your debts first before you get those turbos. Pocket change compared to the hole your digging.

Cool man, it'll be the first WRX to give me some competition. The 4WD & twin turbos aughta make up for the weight difference too!!

There are a number of WRX's that can run mid to high 11's on a stock longblock with upgraded turbo/intercooler/exhaust. They even do it on street tires and subpar conditions. Seen it first hand many times.

I have heard that high HP WRX's can shear the input/output shafts in the transaxle..... even the custom 300M replacements. Lots of strain for sure going thru them.

The motor in the pics below looks like LS6 outta 04 GTO, not LS2.
The LS2 would have an electric Tbody on it.
The LS1/6 is better anyhow....

I hope ya got the BCM from that GTO or you are in for some real fun with the Aussie security system. It ain't like the Vettes, Fbods or trucks.
I am sure it can be worked around, but PCM gurus are few and far between.

Well considering he said he bought a salvaged 2000 Trans Am I fail to see how it could not be a LS1. Just a thought

I saw the pics, but never made it to the bottom to see the donor car post.
I knew it was no LS2 as somebody above had said....
I am guilty as charged...posting without reading it all the way down past the 2nd pic!

I think you have bitten off way more than you can chew. If you are seriously considering the Cobra rear, I would look into using the Explorer rear cover instead of the stock Cobra.
