no theres a few RWD ones running around... but none of them with 600 lbs missing, and a big torque monster with a turbo...you should see them on the subaru site, they hate me...oh well when the video comes out it'll probably shut everyone up..

Thats a sick idea. Ive always loved the Wrx and I hate just about all imports with a passion so thats saying alot. Gotta give probs to the h4 motor. A friend of mine had the perrin exhaust manifold, vf turbo, perrin downpipe no cat and 3" all the way back to a straight through perrin muffler. I cant explain how that car sounded. It was like a v8 minus 4 cyls. Just a sick car. But the ls1 is a insane swap for that. How much are you going to have to modify the floor for the t-56? Any?

bmw rack
It's a power rack and it is 2.97 turns lock to lock. I'm using it as a manual rack in my conversion. Here is a link to a pic:

just the someone shouting out "wow thats light" in reference to a 3000+ pound vehicle is silly to me. I guess my definition of LIGHT is much different from yours, thats all. I come from a 6 year run with my 2000 pound, 200+hp honda civic. even my 2700 pound 340hp widebody ls1rx7 seems a little portly to me. sure you can make anything fit, but the required work around the stock Scooby front subframe might make the swap a total PITA... but if it goes in without welding or cutting then I would like to build a '93-'95 Impreza Wagon with LS1 power.
if you want a 400 or 500 hp WRX there are plenty of ways to do that without a swap, but I'm all for the LS1 transplant! the more chassis' to see an LS1 swap, the happier I am!
I sure hope you dont have problems with the steering shaft and front subframe, it looks pretty high into the engine bay. best of luck to ya.

you may be able to use parts off a newer caddy awd. was just searching around ebay, thought these might help.

2500 Lbs?
My 1994 Miata stripped for action, no radio, no A/C, bare bones, except roll bar, seats and belts with LS1 T-56 and I'll be JAZZED if I can come in at 2500 LBs!!!!
You may have to cut your hard top off and lose the two rear doors to make it man!!!!!!!!
Good luck dude!!!!

well the one that he did was a dedicated drag car... but still somewhat there ... i really havent figured in the motor wieght difference, but im guessing i should be around 27-2800 with me in it... your miata also isnt mostly aluminum either...
my whole front end, doors, roof and trunk are all thin aluminum and weigh about nothing...i could be a bit off on the wieght, but it wont be above 2800 lbs... motor will be here tuesday, just put on the prototype lambo door hinges...those need modified.. im gonna be saving for the tranny...
