Default LS1 or LS6 powered Fiero

wanting to put an LS1 or LS6 into a Fiero. Anyone know of a good transmision shop to build up a manual tranny for it? All ready have the cradle assembly to support the engine hook-up. Still looking to buy an LS6 or LS1 block bare. <img src="graemlins/burnout.gif" border="0" alt="[Burnout]" />

The Getrag five speed can take a lot of torque. I did a built, L98 in my '88 and ran 11.xx's @ 120 plus.

There was an article in PE, about a fiero with a northstar V8, ran 13.6's at 103...not too shabby for a little guy.. <img src="gr_stretch.gif" border="0">

I have a '84 2M4 with it's motor pulled, just sitting in my garage. I've been dedating on weather to build it up and make it a NOS motor for track only or droping in a bigger motor (V6 or V8) for a daily driver. Keep us posted on the progress and the final results as it might help me make up my mind on what to do. <img src="graemlins/fluffy.gif" border="0" alt="[Fluffy]" />

It's using the Archie kit. For the tranny, I'm cryo-treating a tranny from a '93 cavalier. It has larger spider gears than the Fiero getrag, but the same externally.

I've riden in an LT1 Fiero. Pretty crazy when the headlights pop up @ 125 MPH. It might be in one of the links above someone mated the Getrag M282 to an LS1.

I looked at the FWD V8 setup for my project car. 4.6/4.0l N*'s have no aftermarket support and torque through an open diff. is not fun when one wheel hydro planes. So I decided to switch drive to the link below.

The Northstar actually has quite a bit of aftermarket stuff available. www.chrfab.com is one of the best out there.

i believe the way to clear up the headlamp issue is to get a hood with vents in it.

One vendor usually means no competition and high prices. I could any thing made to make N* go faster as with any engine, but it's the software that is the stuff I cannot have replicated.
