No pics of the engine in the car as it hasn't happened yet but I do have the car and I do have the engine!

Default 1976 SWB chevy truck

Here is my conversion, 4.8l 4l60e all stock into my truck. Just dropped the engine/trans in it and scored on a set of trail blazer manifolds.

63 impala, 2004 5.3 and 4l65e. Caprice spindle swap, 4 wheel disc, ford 9" rearend. I just finished a frame off 2300 miles ago and just got the lsx itch so I sold the 327 and 700r4

Default 80 Firebird jus starting out

These are some pics of my Firebird I just recently acquired.
It has original yellow 301 but I want to swap in a LS1/4l60e. All feedback would be greatly appreciated. The hood, rusted trunk pan and front support is the only bodywork that is damaged but otherwise very good car with start from.
-Tranny suggestions
-Rear End
-Suspension
-Any other useful info.

My best advice to you is spend about a month reading build threads on similar projects and put together a plan. At this point you really don't know what questions to ask but seeing what worked and did not work for other people will reveal much to you.

What is your budget and goal for the car?

Default '37 Oze

I just fired up my '37 Ford 3-window - a fiberglass bodied tribute car, built from a roller that I bought from the OZE Rod Shop.

Got the roller on 8-6-13 and worked nearly full time on the car since then. It's got a stock 430hp LS3 "connect and cruise" package from Chevy. The car will be a driver, not a show car and as such, has an inexpensive all GM accessory drive (Cadillac CTS), except for the home-made alternator mount and an Alan Grove AC compressor mount. The alternator relocation required the throttle body to be flipped.

The GM wiring harness had quite a bit of excess length, with the ECM mounted below the dash, on the tunnel, but there wasn't room for the TCM under the dash, so it went in the trunk. I only had to extend 5 wires, about 2' to do that.

I am currently heavy into the building of a 1954 GMC Suburban. This will be a rest-o-rod with new running gear. We will be putting a LC9 5.3 L crate engine and 4L80E HD transmission in. Not quite to the point of installing the engine and transmission yet. We are just finishing body work and have completed installation of Heidts IFS & rear suspension. Will keep the group posted as we progress.

Welcome. Its nice to see another AD Chevy on here. I am doing a 5.3 swap into my 1950 half ton.

1968 Chevelle will be receiving an LS1 - T56 from a 2004 GTO. I've had this car since I was 16. Had it 40 years now.

1990 Fox body LX Notch- 4.8 Turbo swap with worked 862 heads- BTR turbo cam-going to go with a built Turbo 350 most likely- car is completely gutted currently- work in progress and I just started- plans are for a street car that can run consistent high 9's at the track- going to be using a lot of everyones knowledge through the process for sure!! I'll try to get some pictures up soon- anyone have any experience with EZ Wire in a fox? I took the entire harness/ecu- every wire I could out of it and am going with the EZ wire for fans, headlights, taillights and signals- thanks

1940 Chevy Coupe with LS1, 4L60E, and rear from a '98 TA and Fatman/Mustang II front end

Lots of work left to be done, plumbing, wiring (TA harness needs to be installed in car), interior, maybe even paint.
