Default 1967 Tempest Custom/GTO 5.7 LS1 Swap from 2001 TransAm

Just starting a new project by doing a 2001 LS1 and 4L60e swap into a 1967 Tempest Custom/GTO. I bought the GTO with a bad 455 motor, and would prefer to do the LS1 swap instead of buying a new block and starting over with a 400, 428 or 455 total engine build.

Default Conversion started-LC9 mid-mount Corvair

Car is a 65 Corvair 2dr. hardtop. It had an iron block 350 in it till I leaned on it too hard. Going with a 2011 gen IV 5.3, carbureted, hooked to a glide. That's going into a'99 Vette 3.17-1 differential. Car ran good with the prior setup and hopefully this will do as well.

We can create a list and link it to the top of this forum as a guide.

I wanted to thank everyone who has gotten the word out about this particular forum, I wasn't sure if it would have an audience but it appears that there is one.

Bonus points if you have info or pics of that 59 Cadillac converstion with the turbocharged LS1 from New Jersey!!!!

I'm in process of dropping a 2001 Camaro SS LS1 engine with T56 trans into my 70 Chevelle... Just got it to fit with the F-Body oil pan! Onward Ho! I've learned a lot from this site and will contribute as my project moves on! I've got Classic Air A/C going in as well as 2006 GTO Seats front and rear...

Default 5.3 in 1933 ford truck

Just getting back to this build. Trying to do search on water pumps. I have the truck motor 2005 5.3 just about everything fits but if I could find shorter water pump rad. could move closer.
If I change water pump will the truck manifold still work?
