97 Chevy truck with LS1
I was wondering if any one here has done a swap with a LS1 in 90's 4X4 truck with a LS1 and all the things needed to do it.

I don't know of anyone in this forum who has done that but, there might be someone in the "Conversions and Hybrids" section that has. If not I'm sure they could help you out. I'm going to put a copy of this over there and leave this one open also.
EDIT - Hahahahaha....I see you already put a post in here. Oh well

I recently swapped a Vette LS1 in my 95 4wd. You can email me for more details but I will run down some of the major issues.
One of the most restricting factors is that of the front differential and the whole IFS system.
1.You will have to make custom motor mounts.
2.The exhaust is tricky as well, espeically clearing the front driveshaft.
3.You will have to use a 5.3 oil pan.
4.New Flywheel
5.I still don't have all my gauges working.
6.New Fuel pump, regulator.
7.Obviously the computer issues.
I'm still having some fuel pressure issues as well. It was a fun swap though and went smoothly, but I spent more time researching than I did turning a wrench.

Or you could get motor mounts from Street and Performance, I think they sell them for about 100 bucks. You could mount an LS1 to any GM car that came with a SBC V-8 Chevy engine.
Swamper did you use a 4l60e trans or the 4l80e trans and did you use a newer transfer case, such as a 00 or newer or were you able to use the one you originally had in the truck. Did you have to shorten or lenghten any of the driveshafts for it.

I actually swaped to the NV4500 tranny. No I did not have to change driveshaft lengths, we made our mounts so that the tranny sat at the stock location. I did not change T-Case's. However, mine is the NP241c which is lever controlled. (Is yours push button?) I replaced the front end acuator with a Posi-lok unit, so I can mechanically engage the front end.

Ahh, that sucks, so you have to fabricate every part of the mounts yourself? Anyway is their a chance of breaking the Transfer case, with that much power? OR are they built to handle quite a bit?
We used the stock vette mounts and then fabricated new mounts on the frame. We had to notch the frame out also to clear the AC compressor (I know we could have moved it up top, but this seemed much more economical, and it looks very clean.) As far as the t-case I haven't had any problems. Some people doubt chain driven cases, but I have seen 450hp pass through similar chains.
