I'm doing this elusive conversion for my brother... I will be sure to document it VERY well with lots and lots of pictures as well as what Long tube headers can work etc. I've heard so much about people doing this but have never seen pics. I would really like to see some pictures of the C4 vettes that have undergone this conversion.

I'd send a pick but I've only started, just took out the 383LT1 and sold it.

why would u want to add c4 to an ls1? c4 isnt exactly the most stable explosive. i think you would be arrested for terrorism....

You may want to make a post in the c4 forum on www.corvetteforum.com . I believe a few of those guys have made the conversion.

One guy named tracer-X has posted pictures on corvetteforum but there are no pictures left in the posts (to old)

there was a huge disscussion about 3 months ago on this subject but it was all talk and no pictures. we did post the plans for a engine mount template.

I'll try and find the post later.

I have a 408" LS1 /w a couple stacked units in my C4. Car weighs 2750lbs with it. With the 346" alum block LS1 in it, it was only 2680. (full interior, 5pt roll bar, prostars etc)

Sure is nice to get 20+ mpg in a daily driver that makes 900 hp.

The LS1 swap is the only way to go for me if looking to go fast on a budget in a C4.

If you have any questions, its a easy swap if you have the right parts. and I can answer about any question on it, i just kinda of choose not to post up pics of the motor setup.

My LS1 C4 I think is the fastest stock style suspension C4 (dana 44) in the country (that I know of). 1.3 60 ft's, 145 Mph 1/4....

Since a C5 is the 5th generation corvette, a C4 would be a 4th generation corvette.

Motor plates are dirt cheap off ebay that ive seen in the past ($20-$40) or you can go S&P.

Alright alright....but i would ask you dont link to these or post these on the corvetteforum. Heres a few from about 4 years ago when i first put a 346 stock LS1 in the car, then the other motors that proceeded it. I have about 1000 more pictures but i just picked out a quick few. I am feeling generous today, lets see how if can help.

My car has went 1.40 60 ft's with the back wheels. Dynoed near 800 rwhp on pump gas.

Forged 408", TEA Stg 1.5 heads, mild cam,ls6 intake, Jantzer TB, mac headers and a 300 shot /w a little dry shot on top.
Heres the progression my car has went through.
First I ran the stock TPI 350" with spray and went 12.20.
Then 383 Carbed/spray went high 10's.
Then 480" solid roller bigblock 10's N/A.
Then 346" LS1 /w spray, mid-low 10's,
then 408" /w spray (single digits)

(I removed the links, let me know if you guys need any more info)

I tried swapping to several other style LS1 longtubes headers that came in for different customers and none fit anywhere close. I tried edelbrocks drag header, pacesetter, flp, grotyhaun (sp?), kooks etc and none will even come close.

Factory fbody oilpan ceramic coated.

No problem on the contribution.
