Flexplate Help!!

Flexplate Help!! I am putting a LS1 in a chevelle with a th350. I am not sure if the stock LS1 converter will bolt up to the converter or not? Does anyone have any ideas??

I did this for over a year in our race car, using a couple of washers for spacers. Then the bellhousing broke. I have learned from the guys at Yank that the LS1 uses a different torque converter hub to align the torque converter. To do it right you need to get a torque converter for a ls1 / th350. This will take care of the alignment issues and you will NOT need to run spacers. Yank sells them, and i believe they are a sponsor to this site.

alright. I might have to do that. I dont like the idea of running spacers due to the fact i have a 4000 stall and when that thing locks up... there is alot of tq/hp resting on those three bolts. thanks alot for the ideas!!

I bolted my LS1 to a TH350 with the 99-up style stock flexplate just fine with a B&M Torqmaster converter. I haven't gotten the car running yet, but I've heard of flexplates cracking in this swap and was told to get a lock-up or overdrive converter. I recommend trying to bolt them up without the spacer #12563532 and the long bolts because GMpartsdirect.com won't allow returns on them if you don't need them (like me).
