Default Stock parts for conversion

Anyone know the best place to purchase new GM price for a good price? I need a return-style fuel rail from a '97 Corvette and the dealership just wants way too much for it. Any help is greatly appreciated!

GMPartsDirect puts their profit in the shipping charge. They hook you with a cheap initial price, and kill you on shipping. But a good resource to check others.

My recommendations:
1.) Call the nice folks at Team Chevrolet in Scottsbluff, Nebraska. (308) 632-2173. Ask for the parts department, and ask them for their best internet pricing.
or
2.) Check out PartsZoneOnline.com. I haven't used them, but they've been recommended to me. Its a dealer in PA. Pricing is on their website, kinda like GMPartsDirect.com.

Sweet, thanks for the input everyone. I'll make some calls tomorrow and let you know the results. Sorry, I do not know the part number, not yet at least.

why do you need the full return style fuel rails? i don't know your situation. but one thing that some ppl do is to put a vette FPR(think 97, don't quote me on that) close to the tank(has a return line on it) and run only one line to the rails like the rest of the years have

I'm running a LS1 in a '87 Pontiac Fiero. I don't have much room from where the fuel line comes out from in between the tank/body and where it conects to the fuel rail. Only about three feet. Do you have pics or the part number for the FPR assembly in post '97 'vettes? The 97 is the only one with the return style, after that it goes to returnless style. Thanks.

I knew I had read about it somewhere. Thanks!

Ok, so with that, I can use the adapters owith the FPR unit. But how then do I get AN fittings onto the fuel pum outlet and inlet? I guess there are adapters as well. Yeah, I know, search right?

I've had good luck with Skoggin-Dickey www.spdc2000.com

I have also used gmpartsdirect and their shipping prices are crazy.

For general replacement parts (not things like fuel rails, but sensors, coil brackets, etc) I always use www.rockauto.com. Cheap and fast.

Part No. Description LIST YOURS
12556705 RAIL ASSEMBLY 309.11 177.73
12554677 REGULATOR 77.59 44.61

This is from www.partszoneonline.com
Quick response on the question I had as well. The FPR does not come with the rail, has to be purchased separately. This is on a '97 vette.
I might go non-return after all, just gotta figure out all of the fittings and adapters for the pump outlet and filter.

Why would it be illegal? How would you enforce the legality of that concept (verify what actual cost vs billed cost (ie profit) is)? As long as you (the buyer) agree to the price (which you see before processing the order) its pretty much all legal. The old adage has never been less true "Let the buyer beware" (especially with ebay and online auction / sales / scams these days.)

And I'm sure you don't think that FedEx or UPS are shipping all these packages without putting something in their pockets, right?

Ship anything truck freight lately? The rates have stayed mostly the same over the last 2 years, but they've added a "fuel surcharge". They're keeping the rate but adding in some additional money (which may or may not float) to cover fuel costs (and any other costs they think they can get away with). Same kind of thing is going on in a number of other industries (energy surcharge, raw material surcharge, etc).
