Did you cut down the 9 inch or use an aftermarket housing?

Thumbs up

Awesome install man!!

That's a really tight fit with that air cleaner/maf setup in front of the rad. though. You going to have enough flow through that little air filter? I think I would have opted to put a 90 bend directly off the TB and put the MAF off to the side. A setup similar to the new GTO's would look pretty slick on there with a cone style filter off to the side.

Again, that engine looks awesome in there, good job.

LOL,,, nevermind my previous comment about flow on that filter element. Did some rough calcs and it looks like that filter has about twice the "flow area" as your MAF so you're sitting pretty good.

Lots of airflow sure... but all the air will be hot as hell. Would be much better off with a elbow and a filter located elsewhere. Only time won't matter is with the nitrous.
speaking of which, I wonder if the engine will fatigue quicker going from the heated air of the engine compartment, to getting blasted with cold nitrous. Never seen any kind of write-ups on that one.

nice build, but i think your seriously choke off your engine with that filter.
it looks like you have enough hood clearance for a taller intake, id either switch to the 6.0L intake and put the filter up higher away from the radiator, or preferably switch to a single plane intake with an elbow and drilled for injectors. you can turn the TB to the left or right if needed, though with it being in the centar of the intake you should have enough roomdo put a desent filter on it., plus the aluminum intake would work well for your directport.

the only problem with putting a elbow is if I turn to the right that is where my overflow tank for the radiator is going and if I turn to the left I don't know if I will have enough room b/t the power steering resevoir and upper radiator hose for any type of CAI system. Any idea's are gladly appreciated.
Thanks for all the compliments
