Filter/Regulator; '99 Corvette Hi Pete
email me your address and I'll send you a new filter/regulator from '99 Corvette (this thing was made for engine swaps; they came up with the Corvette afterwards). We are in the Seattle area and are about 1/2 way done with our swap. I want my engineering student son to learn how to plan a project, MIG weld, run a Bridgeport, etc so we work on occaisional weekends with me doing the planning (mechanical & systems integration, parts chasing) and him doing the work.

Hey Pete is the Astra anything like the mid 90's Opel Calibra's
I had a 95 Calibra when I lived in Germany and the rear suspension looks very similar.
Awsome looking car by the way. That thing will be a monster when it's done.

Once you're up and running, how about coming down to Rockingham on a SCSA/Pickup race day and doing some demo runs on the front straight? I'll have a word with the organisers if you're up for it, and see what's involved. They had an MG X-Power SV doing similar last year, so it should be doable (pictures I took here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MG_SV )

if you were in AUS i could recommend a handful of tuners that would clear the ABS code in a second. maybe contact Dan Collins at Chipmaster (AUS) he'll point you in the right direction. not really a big problem i think. the doors are a pain

I missed PVS, the most important show of the year for me, I`ll miss the VBOA at Billing too (on holiday), so I`m now aiming for TRAX at Silverstone sept. 2nd.
That`ll give me plenty of time to sort the problems properly, and re-do some other bits I`m not happy with.

mate there`s a thread link to this on our cruise website an personally i am in awe you are a true legend to to have tackled this project an i`m a fully qual time served welder an that is some of the best i`ve ever seen top notch i`ll be lookin out at trax for ya mate congrat`s keep us posted
