Yes, they will bolt together. If ya have an existing converter for the 200-4r you'll need a TCI flexplate and pilot spacer. Or you can have a converter specially made for the combo. You would also have to deal with converter lock-up/control issues.

Summit Racing part #'s........

pilot spacer....... HUP-HP3795

flexplate......... HUP-HP4004 .... may not work for your application. If your converter bolt pattern is 10 3/4 then it will work. If in doubt, order the flexplate below. It has dual bolt patterns..... just cost a little more.

flexplate....... TCI-399753

Spacer: 12563532

Bolts: 12563533 -6 needed

thats for the spacer and the bolts from the dealer.

The GM spacer is $35........ The required bolts are $35 a set.......

The Hughes spacer is $44 and you use the bolts you already have.

the 98 LS1 flexplate should have the correct holes for the converter. I got my spacer from gm and used a 98 flexplate.

Hello, would you happen to have the GM part number on that '98 flexplate?

Thanks!

Need to keep in mind that not all 200-4R's have the Chevy bolt pattern. All have the BOP pattern and some include the Chevy pattern.

Hi All,

I'm doing this same swap! Have all the parts needed except the flexplate bolts. Since my motor had a manual trans, I have the bolts from that setup. I've measured the thickness of the manual flywheel (0.320) and the thickness of the spacer and flexplate (0.375 / 0.125) which works out to 0.500 total.

With the manual flywheel, the engagement for the stock bolts (22mm or 7/8" long) is 0.560 (about 9/16") which is 9 threads

The recommended GM bolts (12563533) are also 22mm long! This results in only 0.375 (3/8") of engagement which is only 6 threads.

Do you think that is enough??? To keep the same engagement length, the bolts should be 1.080" or ~ 26mm. I can get some good 10.9 grade washerhead bolts in 30mm and cut them down if needed, or just reuse the stock manual flywheel bolts.

At least on the truck motors the bolt holes open up into the inside of the crankcase...I think you can afford to have 4 mm sticking out. Just make sure you seal them w/ loctite to keep oil from leaking out. (you would have to do this anyway)
