btw, they only made syclones for one year 1991 and they only produced 3000, so imagine what the "purists" think of MY truck

It's only a car man. They are meant to be modified.

I love to see ingenuity and projects completed... what i dont like to see is when folks have visions that are bigger than thier wallets/talents and end up putting a nice rare car in the local junk yard.
Like i posted i actually have a dent free rust free white 88 sunroof quest to sale so that should prove im not against the swap. BTW the 88/89 are the ones you guys want. They have the larger/ stronger rearend (6 bolt larger axles) than the early years.
Ken Marrow did a chevy v8 swap in one years ago, he lives in northern VA and chose to use the lightest of them all the 1983 flatside starion.
take care,
Monty

yeah..we have come along way with the little g54b 2.6, nothing like the power you guys make but we have some full body cars that run high 11's and a bunch in the mid 12's. I run low to mid 13's on a 100 percent stock 2 injector TBI setup.
Keeping in mind this is with a non existant aftermarket.

ive always liked the body style and looked at buying a 88 a while back that was for sale locally. from what i read at the time it seemd they spent more time on a lift than on the street.

It was pretty hot back in the day with higher boost etc. I was making around 220+hp out of a 4cyl back in '91.
I learned alot about cars while working on it.

There's a guy here in Charleston, IL that has 5 sitting across from his apartment and a white daily driver. I swear there's a new or different one once a week or so it seems like lol.

As many have said here, great project. I've owned 2 Starquests over the years. I looked at these before I did the Supra, sounds like similar fabrication, and I couldn't find room for the turbo.
It looks like w/o the turbo stuff you could run an AC condenser and headlights
. I figured the engine bay on these was a real tight fit, it looks like the core support has been heavily modified.
