Default ls1 in a 93 3.4 v6??

has anyone done this? if so could you please list all the parts needed. and estimated cost. thanks

93 v6 what????? camaro??? never be done......



i am just messing around what kind of car are we talking about? if is a camaro i don't see a prob. just got to change some mounts and some other good stuff.

well for some reason I cant remember an lt1 fit beter. you got to change something in there to fit the rad and fan. check this site out http://www.hpsalvage.com/
LT1 into a V6 F-body '93 - '97 Parts needed:

LT1 and V8 Transmission (none of the F-body
V6 Transmissions will work behind the V8)
V8 Front Suspension Crossmember $150
(Each engine had different motor mount holes)
Engine compartment wiring harness $150
(different from the engine wiring harness)
Dual fan setup '93-'95 $140
V8 Exhaust System
V8 Heater Hoses $40
V8 Fuel Lines (LT1) $50
1 piece driveshaft $75
Aluminum driveshaft $175
V8 Gauges $75
Recommended:
Limited Slip Differential with disc brakes

LS1 into a F-body '93 - '02 Parts needed:

LS1 and V8 Transmission (none of the F-body
V6 Transmissions will work behind the V8)
V8 Front Suspension Crossmember $150
(Each engine had different motor mount holes)
V8 Heater Hoses $40


Will need '97 Corvette fuel rails or rails modified by Street and Performance
to hook up the stock lines or an external pressure regulator.

Due to electronics changes from year to year and difference in V6 & V8 cars,
it is impossible list all the different changes and mods that would be required
to be made to install the LS1 in a V6 or LT1 car.

You'd be better off to sell your v6 and buy a Z28. I came damn close to doing the swap on my 01 camaro and its gonna be alot of work and money. I wanted to go with heads cam and a nice tranny.

i would like to do the same thing, although i have a wrecked 99 z28 and would like to purchase a 93-97 v-6. Would it not be a straight forward conversion.

i've done a 98 v6 to 98 ls1 convertion


if you have a donore car then a swap would be pretty easy part for part
you have to change the fuel pump soo it should be easy other than that i even swapped the fuel lines

probably cheaper than having the body on my 99 z28 repaired. The whole rear is caved in the hatch is toast., the t-roofs dont line up.
