from the firewall to the holddown bracket is 27 inches on my car(sleeve length). from the firewall to the actual end where it attaches to the throttle is 33. i hope this helps.

my car was originally a 2.3 Auto so it had a tv lever on the trans which is almost identical to the stock ls1 throttle body lever except it has the ball & socket stud to use with ford linkages.(sorry if this is confusing ). so i just took off the ls1 lever with a die grinder and welded on the ford part. even the hole in the center matched up with a few hits of the file. another way i was going to do it if i didnt have the lever was to take off the GM style stud and put on one of these [pic below] from here http://www.jegs.com/webapp/wcs/store...0313&langId=-1 is this even remotely clear?

oh yeah, the stock 5.0 cable fits perfectly, you just use a small screw to hole the cable bracket to the factory holder.
