Stealth.. keep up the work. It will be do soon. I had originally planed to be done last June.. Oh well...
I know how it is .. i was not going to do that much either.. but before I knew it.. I had the frame sitting on the ground completely stripped.. LOL But you will feel better that you did it.

I had a set back on mine project.. fried the Brake wiring harness some.. will have to strip and rebuild the harness some before I get it back on the road and see about getting the trans Tunnel and exhaust pipe done.

LOL

I expected to be done by March of this year. It's November already.

Hang in there...I didn't expect to do a lot of what I did rebuilding steering and other crap along the way. Had to save up for some tools and stuff and ... all kinds of unforeseeable setbacks and hassles in real life along the way that I could have never projected.

Talking 1967 tempest

Hey I just did all of this, I wish I had read your post sooner and i could have told you a few things that we did with mine. the steering rag was replaced, we did notch the frame for the ac and boxed it in, had to cut trans tunnel too and a bit of fire wall, used a aluminum drive shaft from a crown vic had it cut down balanced and fitted, fabricated power steering hose, put disk brakes all the way around, coil overs all the way around.

I did notice your headers and they look like a great fit, those will probably work on my car too looking at your pics (I have been searching). If you run into any problems let me know. My car is getting closer to being fired up.

I am using a Viper T56.. found a Dodge VAN that had the correct Yoke size, had my Drive shaft guy cut a few inch off the shaft and add the correct U-Joints for the 12 bolt out back.

think the crown vic was a 95 police cruiser, had the clutch products shop cut it down to 54 inches and put new ujoints that would mach my 67 rear and balance the shaft, they do this for race cars all the time. find some one that races and they will tell you where to go.

No not really, I sold off all kinds of stuff I had for the car originally, But I'm friends with some junkyard owners, and they let me have the run of the place,

heads and misc $120
long block $300
harness, center bolt valve covers, coils, all bolts for a complete motor,$300
ECM brand new $80
T-56 w/12K purple syn, Pro 5.0 Specflywheel Ram clutch/stock LS6 included, $2000, that was a little high, but everythings SPOTLESS!
DSE tubs NIB $200
DSE SFC NIB $125,

I just watch the adds and shop around, But I'm selling my M3, so that will pay for my Fiske wheels, DSE Quadra link, Ricks tank, RD radiator,

I was working w/ the garage down for a while or eating dinner. I should be around this weekend. Hit me up. I'm waiting on my SC&C stage II kit, should have ordered it earlier, but once again it was something I wasn't going to do.

Well I finally got new hosting for my website and my links will work now. I had been using a friends dedicated server and it kept crashing so I got my own now.

I am still waiting on my front suspension, but in the meantime I installed and pulled the motor again. I needed to finalize placement. I drilled the holes for the motor crossmember mounts. Started prepping the trans crossmember for paint and started making templates to box my front lower control arms.

I will post some pics later.

I started playing with some LED's last night. Working on wiring them up for turn signal, parking brake, and check engine indicators. With the Covan's dash I am using it removes all the old idiot lights.

A few minutes of soldering and I had some test lights.
Red:

Orange:

Green:

I need to put a bigger resistor in the green. It was almost too bright.

These are not normal Radio Shack LED's. The RS ones were all about 20mCd(milicandella) and the biggest about 600mCd. The ones I got are all 6000mCd+ the greens are over 8000mCd @ 25mA. I am going to try dropping them down to 20mA. Although I have not tested them in direct sunlight.

Just finished making the wiring harness for my gauges. I hooked them up to a power supply to test it out. I think I am going to try and mount the PCM under the dash.

Now I need to install the LED's.

i put my pcm under dash on passenger side. battery is going in the trunk to leave plenty of room for dual air intake to the grill on either side of the radiator.
