HELP wont start!!!!!!!!
OK Ive been converting a 94v6 car to 98 ls1 for a while now. Ive got all ready to start (so I thought) I've mated the 98 engine harness to the 94 body harness,Vats has been removed, I have good fuel pressure, the ecm powers up(or the check engine light comes on with the key anyway) Is there some way to check to see if its not firing or if the injectors or not firing. I remember reading long timeago the coil packs had to be put back on the same side the come off of . I dont know if they did.
Thanks Johnathan

OK I did some checking today. I hooked autotap to it. had no codes.
Pulled a spark plug its dry
unpluged the fuel pump and cranked the over and had no drop in fuel pressure . So its got to be that the injectors are ont firing but why?

How long has your swap motor been sitting until you tried to fire it? The injectors are prone to gumming up if left unused for a long period of time. This happened on both my F.I. swaps, an LT1 and a 5.3. If you suspect this is the case, disconnect each of the injectors from the harness and apply 12V and ground directly to the injector pins. Remove and reapply voltage until you hear the injector click, then move on to the next one and repeat.
This is a very common problem on engine swaps that have been sitting a while.

Ok I checked with autotap today. I have no CAM singal or oil pressure singal. Is it possible that I swap the plugs when I put the harness back on or will they not interchange.
