Another ls1 startup video

Got my Ez wiring harness hooked up along with a universal ignition switch. Started right up! Video is not very good and the camera couldnt handle the noise inside the garage. But it seems to be idling kind of high right now..any idea why? All I need now is brake pads and I can take it for a test drive!

Way to go Jimmy! It make take the computer a little while to figure out where to idle, if it does not idle down soon, then check for vacuum leaks.

sweet! look for vacuum leaks or at the throttle body to see if it's cracked at all. Could take a few learning cycles to drop down, too. good luck, and congrats!

Sounds good congrats,mine took a bit to learn idle too ,its been fine since.

thanks guys...

As far as the idle.. is it better to have it start and stop multiple times or is it better to have it run for a long period?

Is there a good method for checking for vacuum leaks? I know if you are checking for pressure leaks soapy water does the trick.
