awesome post, nice numbers too! hells yeah man, stock LS1 power is prety nice isnt it?! nice pics of the subframe and mounts, thats definitely helpful. it might be easier for people to make a tranny mount like the one hinson sells for ls1FC rx7 swaps, it is a square tube from frame rail to frame rail with a little end bracket and a matching plate you put inside the rail, attached with two bolts per end. pretty simple.

nice work, love the LS1S14, thats a cool car, looks good!

it was too short in my setup. but you would have to get the motor real far back to make it work. i going to be changing the oil next weekend and ill tell you how short it is. it might work but the heads would have to be right on the firewall.

well i got some video. its short but to the point.

8.08
this run was just easing off the line just like you would at a stop sign and then going pretty hard.

bad launch
this run is why i took off really easy on the other launch. gave it gas and dumped the clutch. went no where so i shifted to second. about 7 secs into the video is when i got full traction. you can hear the motor when it hit the full load of the car and then had to shift to 3rd.

not the best video but its something. one of my first runs (no video) was a 8.1 with a reaction of .7***. so im sure with a good launch she will go mid 7's.

runs were made on 255/40/17 street tires. not the best drag tire im sure.

action vids ftw son! ill have to say that was about what i expected. those 1/8ths are round about mid to low 12's depending on your traps. get some real rubber and learn the car and i dont see why you couldnt hit a 12.0-11.5+ depending on tires type of course. it makes me cringe at the though of what my setup will run once i have all the parts installed

i have only made 3 passes. first (no video) was...
reaction .7261
60ft 1.9939
330ft 5.9279
594ft 7.6847
1/8 8.1939
mph 88.37
that night i made just one pass. (lines get too long for me)
then the 2 with video (may as well call it one). the 8.0 run i had a trap of 82-83 mph (cant remeber which) but on the 8.19 run i traped 88 mph. dunno how that happened.

i wanna redyno to make sure im still at the same hp. i did mechanical over rev it once (about a month ago). so a pushrod may have a slight bend in it (i asked the dyno guy and he said i would know it if i messed it up). still runs strong. i thought it was impossible to mechanical over rev one but my tranny will go from 2nd to 1st with no problem.
also my oil psi is around 37 at idle (after warm up). is that about right?

when mine is good and warm i get about 45psi, but i'm on an upgraded pump so 37 doesn't sound bad at all.

well, i made it to a 1/4 mile track. sorry, no video on this one. gulfport miss. there was zero track prep that i saw. rubber everywhere at the line. but it was a test and tune night so... track was slippery. on the street i dont spin in 3rd (unless i want it to) and that night i would hit 3rd and spin like crazy.

60ft-------2.0119 i have hit 1.7 at a diff track.
1/8mile----8.4882 hit a 8 flat before.
1/8mph ---86.09
1/4mile----12.9279
1/4mile----108.85

there was a 2002 vette that had exhaust and drag radials that was running almost spot on with me that night, so im happy. ill be going back in a month or so and will try and have video of the next one.

I looked under my S14 this weekend and maybe it would work the same as the FC rx7 but those rails dont seem too strong, maybe with another tab that also bolts to the floor with a beefy plate on the cabin side, that would strengthen it all up pretty well.

cool youre getting the car out to romp on, hells yeah man! my one and onlly trip to the strip in my FC netted the same times, I found it really hard to learn the new car and get the best times out of it for every part of drag racing, made me feel like a lame-o-autox-er, lol, and if you have to launch for autox starts, man I am missing some precious tenths if I cant launch well!

I think you should be able to fit 275's out back on a 10" wide wheel with something like a +44 to a +40 offset but I'm not 100% positive.

60ft is in the post.

60ft-------2.0119 i have hit 1.7 at a diff track.

edit: oh, 0-60mph? no i dont know them.

these times were on 9" wide rims with 255/40/17 street tires. not for drag racing. getting some drag radials soon.

still debating over cam and some spary or a single turbo. goal is for over 500hp daily driven. not that i need, just cause i want it.

I was toying with the idea of a little A-trim Vortech charger. Would be much simpler than going turbo and a little less agressive than nitrous (not to mention filling the bottle constantly).

stock ls1 can reliably handle upto 9 psi if intercooled well.

9/14.7=.61
.61*350=213.5
213.5+350stockHP=563.5 hp
ends up being about 490 at the wheels
