Torque management is used in A4`s, it cuts the ignition advance as the trans goes to shift so there is less stress on the trans.

The computer needs to know both your rear end ratio and your tire size so that it can calculate your road speed. If you change tire diameter you effectively change your gear ratio, so the computer needs both variables to calculate speed.

TM is used in the M6 also so you should have them not remove it but raise the limits.

Wow, I didn`t know that. How does it work with a 6spd? does it pull out advance when you push in the clutch or at a pre-programmed RPM?

there is a tourque max value in the pcm, I guess it's to help the clutch, it pulls timming when you reach the max value.

I`m seriously asking. I had always heard of TM with the A4`s, but never heard anything about it with an M6. I knew that the 4l60e autos were weak trannys, but I thought that M6`s were plenty strong to hold up to full power shifts. Now that ace68 said it was to help the clutch live it makes more sense to me, I have heard people complaining that the stock LS1 clutch could use to be stronger.
