Wink Name this part? One of you bought it...

Someone here in this conversion forum took this photo of a part which is of interest to me (ignore the MAF, I'm interested in the tube).

I would like to know the GM part # for it, any info about the stock application, and, if you have better pictures of the installation in your conversion vehicle, that would be really cool!

Hoping somoene can help. THANKS!

Here's my air intake setup with the '04 GTO tube. Looks the same as your pic.

TB SS has a 90mm LS2 throttlebody. The LS1 GTO (2004) has the regular one (75mm??).

Thanks, Scooter, funny, I found this thread with you in it just a couple minutes before you posted:

https://ls1tech.com/forums/pontiac-gto-2004-2006/177775-stock-air-intake-elbow-part.html

And the part number is listed there. Also found this picture in an install PDF at the Magnusson site:

I know nothing about the '04-'07 GTO's (I hear it's coming out again in '07).

Which one of these intake elbows would fit my stock '01 LS1 out of a WS6 TA?

(lamer question, what is a "TB SS"?)

Thanks

Can anyone confirm whether the throttle body on the '04 GTO is the same diameter as the throttle body on an '01 TA WS6?

Since when does plumbing your CAI to sit right next to the exhaust manifold a good thing? I think I missed something here.

It's not. My IATs are awful. However, that was the easiest place to put it when I was doing the swap. I have some ideas for cowl induction but haven't gotten around to doing the plumbing yet.

Don't let 'em get to ya, man. When it comes to building a hybrid, you gotta make sacrifices during your install, and when the engine isn't designed to bolt into your car and you're using parts from 4 different other models from the same manuf'er, it's a pain in the *** to make everything optimal. If they can't understand it, screw em Just shows a lack of maturity on their part Rather than giving constructive feedback on how to make it better, they gotta rib you or call you out on it.

Feels like I'm in the MKIV forums over at VWVortex or something
