Default lsx 2 fox motor plate

i cant seem to find any ls1 motor plates. all the sbc's that i have found strickly state " except the new ls1\lt1 motors " any reason? when searching i have returned nothing for an ls1 and looking to use a plate for header and steering knuckle issues.

don't worry about following that link, the guy who started it hasn't replied to it any further. try calling Madman and see what he would do for you.

i love the setup in your car, its my "light" at the end of the tunnel, what are your thoughts on the motor plate idea?

umm.....i would go motorplate only if i was planning on making some silly power....at least 750rwhp before i worried about it. if you're just doing it so you don't have to F' with making mounts, then go for it. however, from everything i've read it sounds like it would be just as easy/difficult either way. i did not build my car if you were not aware, i bought it as it sits. my plan is just to improve upon it. lol.

header clearance would most likely be better with a motor plate, no?
